The last weeks – well, the last 44 days to be exact – have been a highway to - and a visit in – hell. Not fun, not great, but at least I’m released from there and on the way back. Hah! Since 7th of December I haven’t made one step of running – nor done any other activities. Quite maddening and definitely a wonder that I havent’t landed inside the psychiatry. The short version of it: same troubles as in the summer, just "a bit" more serious this time. 3 weeks of absolutely resting, being denied everything from lifting more than 3kg to walking stairs, then undergoing surgery twice, both with general anaesthetic and all in all quite a blood loss. Not to talk about all the medicationing.. Arghhh!! Really not fun. The good thing about the whole misery ist that they have finally found the reason for the troubles. I will have to let my self go through quite a big surgery next autumn, but then things should be fixed up and there should not be anymore repetitions which such big health affections. For that I am really happy and greatful! Since a couple of days I am even allowed to start training again. Big, big smile on my face! The last surgery isn’t more than 8 days ago, so I am grateful that they let me start so soon. I did some small session of „moving therapie“ the last 3 weeks, but it was really more therapie. Cross country skiing where the grandma’s passed me like speed-trains and ergo biking with a heart rate of max 108.. Well.. But, since the weekend I have done some really cool core sessions (more about that later!), two session on the cross trainer and I’m riding my bike to and from work. That means 2 session of biking a day and it feels fantastic!!!! Saturday I will try running for the first time, I’m curious if I still know how to do it;). I must admit that I am a little bit nervous, but the looking-forward-to-it-feeling is very, very much bigger! Finally running again – I almost can’t wait! Also because the surgeries/GA’s/medicationing have triggerd a little heart problem, which is supposed to say byebye when my heart get loaded again. Can’t wait for that, since episodes of rest heart beat of 90-100 feels quite strange and uncomfortable when your used to one third of it... So, it’s sunny outside and time to get on the bike. Jippiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!! See you later! |
