Last weeks Monday and Tuesday were a muscular hell, quads felt like they were going to rupture every time I had to walk down a stair or to sit down. Quite amusing for my patients, not quite so amusing for me;). Monday I had a rest-day, no running at all. Biking to and from work was enough. Tuesday morning things felt even worse, so I decided to go by car - something which almost never happens! In the evening I went for a jog with Cory - and that must have been quite a funny sight. She limping because of a injured hip, I limping because of really destroyed quads. 7,5'/km...I think that says it... After 40' things felt a little bit better and when we finished after 50minutes something, I felt more optimistic that running would be fine again next day.

One week ago, David and I started at the Matraberc trail ultra race (www.matraberc-trail.com). This race is originally 60 km long, but luckily you can split it into two or three legs, so David and I opted for the two-leg-relay-variation.

Saturday evening: Austrian Champs Sprint Orienteering. Very rusty orienteering but lots of fun! Some 15 hours later, Sunday morning 09:00: half-marathon in Vienna. Flying feeling, lots of fun - and in the end a very nice, new PB.
